FX Releases Trailer For ‘American Horror Story: Double Feature’

August 16, 2021 | Benjamin Carpenter

FX has finally released the trailer to the tenth season of American Horror Story. Titled, American Horror Story: Double Feature, the season will be split into two parts. The first half is labeled Red Tide which premieres on August 25th and the second part is labeled Death Valley.

According to FX, Red Tide will take place “by the sea” while Death Valley will take place “by the sand”. Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe star in this season along with AHS veterans Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Angelica Ross, and Leslie Grossman.

The tenth season centers around a struggling writer, his pregnant wife, and their daughter as they move to an isolated beach town for the winter. Once they’re settled in, the town’s true residents begin to make themselves known. The isolated writer losing his sanity seems inspired by The Shining. The trailer promises death, blood, and a little bit of insanity that should make any AHS fan excited.

The season also stars Chad Michaels, Leslie Grossman, Matt Bomer, Angelica Ross, Adina Porter, and Macaulay Caulkin (who can be seen briefly in the trailer). Double Feature was originally set to premiere in 2020 but was delayed in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Red Tide will exclusively premiere on FX and the episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu the next day.

American Horror Story is an anthology series that centers on different characters and locations, including a house with a murderous past, an insane asylum, a witch coven, a freak show circus, a haunted hotel, a possessed farmhouse, a cult, the apocalypse, and a slasher summer camp. FX renewed American Horror Story through its 13th season in 2020.
