November 22, 2021 | Benjamin Carpenter

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone was released in November 2001, 20 years ago. Little did anyone know that it would go on to be one of the most successful film franchises ever created. To commemorate the milestone, Warner Bros. has announced a Harry Potter Reunion Special which they plan to release on HBO Max.

For the first time since the end of the franchise in 2011, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint along with other cast members from each of the 8 movies are joining director Chris Columbus in a reunion special on January 1st.

The special titled Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will be similar to the Friends and the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Reunions, which both debuted exclusively on HBO Max.

Return to Hogwarts will examine how the films were made and will include new interviews with the cast and crew. Return To Hogwarts will have fans reminiscing about their time watching one of the most popular film series of the 21st Century.

The cast members confirmed to return for the special include Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Ian Hart, and a lot more.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Return To Hogwarts will debut on HBO Max on January 1st, 2022 and on TBS/Cartoon Network on April 15th, 2022.
