How To Watch The Marvel Movies In Chronological Order

December 1, 2021 | Benjamin Carpenter

It has been over a decade since the Marvel Cinematic Universe first launched and they have shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The MCU has shown signs of a huge shift of focus from The Avengers we all know and love to more secondary and tertiary characters. The Disney Plus WandaVision series is a clear example of that along with many other titles slated for release in the future.

Avengers: Endgame was the end of an era in the MCU. It was the end of a story arc that began in Iron Man and continued throughout all of the Marvel films until 2019. The MCU is similar to a TV series in that way. In that sense, the MCU is comparable to a television series. If you binge-watched all of the movies together, it would be the equivalent of watching a season of a TV series. However, even though the Marvel movies were released in a specific order, they were not released in chronological order. There are several ways to watch all of the MCU movies, but we are of the opinion that the best way is to watch them in chronological order.

We have compiled a list of all MCU movies and TV shows, organized chronologically, below. This method allows you to experience the sequence of events as they happened.

The List Will Only Grow

Continuity has always been a huge focus for Marvel movies, which is why it can be very rewarding to watch the films in chronological order. However, the release of Loki and What If…? marks a new era of the MCU. One that intentionally messes with the MCU timeline and the multiverse. Time will tell, but as the list of Marvel movies grows, it may become more difficult to keep track of what order the movie should be watched in.
